Ship ENDEAVOUR

The Endeavour is the first authenticated ship to become a total loss on the New Zealand coast, though it could 
not be termed a wreck.
On 25th October 1795, the Endeavour was abandoned in Dusky Sound, after everything on her was taken ashore, 
including stores, masts and rigging. Even her two guns, but unfortunately they were lost overboard, into the 
Sound, when the raft carrying them turned over.
