Cutter JANE

We regret having to announce the loss of the cutter 'JANE'. She was found ashore with all sail set, about 15 miles on
this side of Wanganui, without a soul on board. Mr Howes, and four seaman left this place in her, and it is supposed
she upset, cast every body overboard, again righted herself, and drove ashore. It is to be feared that the vessel was
unfit for a sea voyage, and not in charge of a competent person.
